In our ongoing commitment to supporting those who have served our nation, Post 86 recently stepped in to assist a veteran facing a dire situation: an imminent power disconnect notice. This vital assistance occurred in October 2025.
Understanding the critical importance of a stable home environment, especially for our veterans, Post 86 acted swiftly and independently to ensure this veteran’s power stayed on. Upon learning of the disconnect notice, our members immediately recognized the urgency.
Without hesitation, Post 86 took on the full responsibility of covering the outstanding bill on our own. Our goal was simple: to alleviate a significant source of stress and prevent the hardship that comes with losing essential utilities. This quick action meant the veteran could continue to live comfortably and safely in their home, free from the worry of losing power.
This effort highlights the core mission of Post 86: to serve those who have served us.
