Post 86 and Nac Hero’s Work Together to Restore Water to a Veteran
Access to clean, running water is something many of us take for granted, but for one veteran in our community, it had become a critical issue. Thanks to the incredible collaborative efforts of Post 86 and the Nac Hero Foundation, this veteran’s home now has a fully restored water supply. This vital work was completed in May 2025.
The problem stemmed from a severely damaged water main, a costly repair that presented a significant challenge. Recognizing the urgency and the importance of supporting those who have served our country, Post 86 stepped up. They joined forces with the Nac Hero Foundation, an organization dedicated to assisting veterans in various capacities.
Together, these two committed groups decided to split the cost of replacing the entire water main. This collaborative approach ensured that the financial burden was shared, making the vital repair possible without delay. Adding to this remarkable effort, a generous local contractor performed all the necessary work at cost, effectively donating his valuable time and expertise to the project. The work has been completed, and the veteran now has reliable access to water once again, restoring a basic necessity and bringing peace of mind.
This project is a testament to the power of community and the unwavering dedication of organizations like Post 86 and the Nac Hero Foundation, along with the incredible generosity of our local businesses. Their joint effort not only fixed a practical problem but also sent a clear message of gratitude and support to a deserving veteran. We are incredibly proud of this partnership and the positive impact it has had on a life within our community.
