Welcome to the official page for the American Legion Post 86 Annual Scholarship Gun Raffle. This year-long fundraiser is the primary means by which Post 86 raises funds to provide local scholarships to deserving high school students in Nacogdoches County.

Every ticket purchased supports the future leaders of our community and honors the legacy of veterans through education.

Raffle Period & Deadline

• Raffle Start Date: January 1
• Final Ticket Purchase Deadline: December 7 (Observed on Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day)

(Please note: All federal, state, and local laws apply. Prize transfer will be facilitated through a licensed Federal Firearm License (FFL) dealer. Winner must pass all applicable background checks.)

How to Get Your Tickets

Tickets are available for purchase year-round, both online and at various community events (look for our booth at Nacopalooza and other local festivals!).

About the Post 86 Scholarship Program

For over 50 years, the American Legion Post 86 has been dedicated to supporting young people in Nacogdoches. Funds raised through this raffle go directly toward our local scholarship awards for high school seniors who are often children, grandchildren, or siblings of a U.S. veteran. By purchasing a ticket, you are directly investing in the education of a local student.

Drawing and Winner Notification

The winner will be selected shortly after the December 7th deadline.

• Drawing Date: The First Monday of December at the private Post event
• Winner Notification: The winner will be contacted personally via the phone number or email provided on their ticket stub by the end of the week following the drawing. You do not need to be present to win.
